A Way of Life for Thinkers and Creative People
Creative Arts Center for Spiritual Living (CACSL) is one of the many Centers for Spiritual Living around the world. Founded by Ernest Holmes, our teaching, the Science of Mind, is both a philosophy and a way of life as taught in “The Secret” and by people such as Wayne Dyer, Eckhart Tolle, Marianne Williamson, Michael Beckwith, Louise Hay and Deepak Chopra. It is based on proven metaphysical laws.
Providing Spiritual Tools
Applying this teaching every day, and practicing it in every aspect of life -- in our personal lives, our careers, our physical well-being and our finances -- results in good health, prosperity, success, creativity, peace and perfect relationships.
What We Believe
There is only one Creative Intelligence and Power. It is present everywhere, including us. We believe Spirit, God, works through a universal law. It creates our experiences according to our beliefs. We change our lives by changing our thinking. Therefore we experience healing and prosperity. We experience success and love in every area of our lives.

This morning as I turned on my computer and logged into my primary email account, I felt exasperated by the quantity of “junk” emails that had made it past my spam filter.
One particular email from a realtor in San Diego caused me to wonder why he felt the need to send me his communication. I opened the email, looking for a way to unsubscribe when my attention was caught by a particular paragraph. It read, “Life's abundance is all around you, and each day brings new opportunities for fulfillment. Use every day to keep moving, and bring your best possibilities to life.”
WOW, what a kick in the pants! As I was just about to close the door to this particular email chain, I almost missed stepping into the exact abundance that is addressed in this communication. This message immediately provided in me a shift in how and where I was seeing a new opportunity for fulfillment. Of course, this specific topic is something I preach, teach, and actually practice. But, being human (yes, ministers are human!), there are times I need a reminder. Immediately after reading this email and experiencing my shift, my exasperation dissipated.
I know that we all have times when frustration or annoyance shows up. Just cut yourself some slack, and then look for the good that exists in your life. The truth is probably just under your nose, just as it was for me with this particular email. Just like you, I am imbued with Infinite Intelligence and Intuition. Our conscious use of the Divine allows us to listen to our inherent Intelligence and Intuition, always moving us closer to our Good. I actually listened to that intelligence within me when I read the email this morning in spite of my annoyance, and look at the gift I received.
In the book, 365 – Science of Mind, A Year of Daily Wisdom by Ernest Holmes, this is written for today, May 16, “I know that the Spirit of Truth is within me and that I contact this Spirit through my own self-recognition, belief, and expectancy.” We are being told here that within us is a life force that knows Itself, and we contact it through the use of our mind. Our inherent Intelligence and Intuition exists in our minds. These components of God that exist within us are also known as self-recognition, belief, and expectancy.
Today, I encourage you to open yourself up to greater good in your life. Let those things in life that may cause you a “rub” to be the exact same things that bring you closer to your good, i.e. God. Have fun with the process of your own evolution. Look for an awakening in the very place you think it does not or cannot exist. This may be in a relationship gone sour, a client that is annoying you, a long line of stalled traffic, the man with 33 items in the Express Lane at the grocery store, the slow process of weight loss, or the dollars and cents in your bank account. No matter what the circumstance or condition, there is always good. This is because it is all God, and God is all there is.
The bible quote that Dr. Holmes uses for today’s writing as referenced above is, “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.” Psalm 23:6
Goodness and mercy need not follow you, because it is yours by Divine right. But for you and I to experience more and more of it, we must consciously “dwell in the house of the Lord,” meaning we are in congruence with the Law (in the Metaphysical Bible Lord means Law), knowing we are individualizations of the Divine fully expressed – always!
You are good, and good is you. This is just the way it is!
